Hair Design Institute

The Hair Design Institute was founded in the 1960’s, and has trained many qualified hairdressers.

The school is licensed by the New York State Education Department, and accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences. In addition, the school owners have been members and officers of both the National Association of Cosmetology Schools and the New York State Beauty Schools Association.

Our objective is to provide a course of instruction that equips and prepares our students to meet all the requirements necessary to become licensed hairdressers.

The school tries to provide each student with the training and expertise he or she will need to realize his or her own potential in a cosmetology career. The school maintains a staff of qualified instructors who possess years of experience as licensed operators and licensed teachers. All faculty members are required by state regulations to maintain teacher licenses as issued by the New York State Education Department.
