Independence College of Cosmetology

The College was founded in 1960 by Don and Leila Cohoon and is now directed by their daughter, Linda Clifford, who started her career in 1972. The College enjoys a national, as well as international, reputation for quality education and plays an active part in the local business community. Courses are offered in Esthetics, Basic Cosmetology (which includes Nails), and Instructor Training. Interested students, friends and/or family members are invited to tour the College Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30 - 4:30, by making an appointment with our Admissions Director. We are located three miles from Interstate 70 and I435, on 23rd Street between Noland Road and Cryster.
